Rocking on air pollution

Frele are three women from Silesia who create covers of well-known Polish and international hits in Silesian dialect, usually with a hilarious take. This song “Kaj to warm up” is a cover of Bajm’s “White Army.”

“Kaj to warm up”

My neighbour
starts to burn in the stove
She throws in everything she has around
Oh, noooo
Let her take the bag,
put rubbish in it,
take it where it needs to be
Do not burn
these tires in your stove anymore
because children cough at night
Noo, nooo!
Do not burn anymore
use your head and have a heart
Because it’s smoking too much
Well, put it in the bag!
To be able to sleep well

Where do you throw it?!
It smells of plastic
because you burn
what you have
you can smell a burnt flip-flop
all through the house.
So I’m afraid to sleep

I stifle in here
As autumn comes
It stinks in the whole corridor
And in winter I can’t see where my house is
Health is important
So everyone is already hiding
From smog in the air
I’m scared
Now the time has come, oh noo
This is the worst time

Where do you throw it?!
It smells of plastic
because you burn
what you have
you can smell a burnt flip-flop
all through the house.
So I’m afraid to sleep.
